PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Mr. Merritt joins the GTL Construction of NJ team bringing with him over 28 years of construction industry experience.  This extensive experience is inclusive of construction management and an architecture education allowing excellent dialogue and interface with the design teams.   He has encountered a profound list of construction project types over his career, some of which include; low, mid- and high-rise residential projects, commercial and manufacturing buildings, industrial, educational and institutional facilities, and public projects.  His approach to each project is met with forethought and diligence, this affords him with comprehensive knowledge of the proposed project development.  His exceptional interfacing with a substantial subcontract and supplier base affords the project team with a variety of options to assist our clients.  He also has an ability to implement appropriate construction methods and processes that render solutions fitting with the required design criteria that achieves approving results.  His project estimating experience provides cost effective solutions that meet the project design intent and often provides beneficial solutions that meet the project design intent and, often provides beneficial advantages for our clients.  As Director of Estimating, Mr. Merritt is involved with all aspects of project development completely from pre-construction through bid submissions.
